This site has been created to provide valuable information to our students, parents, faculty, and staff regarding the operations and academic policies administered through the Office of the Registrar, including federal guidelines concerning the management of student records. Students will be able to obtain information more readily and process services online; parents will find useful information concerning policies and guidelines; and, our faculty and staff will acquire information that supports their academic, administrative, and advising roles and responsibilities. The Office of the Registrar is committed to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction to University of Maryland students, parents, faculty, staff, and administrators in all aspects of our operation. Our services include:
- Administering academic policy compliance
- Coordinating course and classroom scheduling
- Certifying the enrollment eligibility of veterans and service members
- Managing all processes related to student registration (e.g. course registration, course waitlisting, and schedule adjustment)
- Receiving and processing students’ grades
- Maintaining students' permanent academic records
- Ensuring readiness and optimization of the university’s student information system to accurately house, securely and confidentially preserve, and promptly deploy students’ records
- Managing students’ records in compliance with federal, state, and university policies
- Processing students’ status changes (e.g. withdrawals)
- Evaluating and processing students’ requests for in-state residency reclassification
- Determining students’ eligibility for graduation
- Producing official transcripts, enrollment certifications, graduation verifications, and diplomas
- Information management, and analysis and reporting of enrollment and records data
